Worldwide Knitting in Public Day is coming up on Saturday 8 June.
This is when knitters from round the world get together for public, often outdoor, events or just take their needles out and about for the day. It is all about sharing your craft and the love of your craft.
However, many people don’t just knit in public once a year so we asked about the places you have taken your needles and hooks.
Here are just a few examples:
The Jennifer Rasal, Knit Stitch Witch on Instagram, takes her knitting everywhere she goes – including a recent trip to Barcelona.
Hilde Fjellberg Aase enjoys knitting on the ferry
Louise Currall crocheted her shawl on the beach in sunny Spain so it brings back good memories.
Deirdre Dempsey manages a few stitches when taking a break on a forest wal.
Selma Mian Halsall takes to the high seas with her project.
And Manon Smid fitted in a few rows waiting for sunrise in Death Valley.
Don’t forget to share your knitting in public day pictures with us on June 8.
